Professor Rachel B. Gross, Student Roundtable & Public Lecture: "Give us Our Name: Genealogy and American Jewish Religion"

The Divinity Jewish Students Association, with support from the University of Chicago Grad Council, is excited to bring Professor Rachel B. Gross to our virtual campus on Monday, February 22nd. We will kick off the day with a graduate student roundtable at 12:30 pm where we will discuss Professor Gross’s work, life as a scholar, and her article “Memory” linked HERE. At 4:30 pm, Professor Gross will present– in a lecture open to the public– on a case study from her book Beyond the Synagogue: Jewish Nostalgia as Religious Practice.
